Bags By Chilli offers you the opportunity to personalize designer quality handbags with your own photographs. BBC handbags are custom manufactured based on your selections. Choose your favorite style of handbag, leather color, favorite image(s), photo color effects and more! We work closely with our manufacturer to create your custom crafted handbag that is sure to become a treasured keepsake!

Can I pay by cash in the online store?

No. You may pay by credit card, debit card or PayPal.

Can I pay by check or money order in the online store?

We do not directly accept checks, but if you prefer to pay from your checking account without using your bank check card, you may do so through the free service offered by PayPal. For more information, visit PayPal at http://www.paypal.com.

What credit cards are accepted in the online store?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Can I use my bank/check card if it has a Visa/MasterCard logo on it?

Sure! Just use it the same as you would a credit card and we will take care of the rest.

How do I keep my Bags By Chilli handbags clean?

For regular cleaning maintenance, go over your Bags By Chilli handbag with a lint brush. You may apply 3M Scotchguard or a similar product that will repel moisture and stains when you first receive the bag. These products should be applied according to the manufacturer's instructions and BBC will not be responsible for any damage that occurs in connection with their application or effectiveness. For further cleaning, please use a damp soft towel with warm soapy water to remove dirt from the bag.

Will the images be ironed-on and how durable are they?

No the images are not turned into iron-on transfers. Your photograph will be set through a special design process. This process entails taking your photograph and processing it right onto the fabric through a special technique that is exclusive to our manufacturer. This fabric is then handmade into your individual bag. The result is an extremely clear image without fading, cracking or peeling.

Are the images removable?

No, your handbag is custom crafted with your permanent image. These are not temporary images that snap on the bag or slide into pockets, therefore they are not removable. Rest assured that your handbag is built around your favorite image. Your photo will be the permanent centerpiece of your purse!

What types of fabrics are used?

Images are printed on a white, high-quality bridal satin or canvas. The rest of the bag is constructed with canvas or leather. Most bags include leather straps, trim and bases. The product details for each bag will give you the specific materials.

Do you have a customer satisfaction guarantee?

Our Guarantee: We offer a 30 day warranty against any defects that may have occurred during production. The guarantee DOES NOT cover normal wear and tear of the product. If you discover such a defect, return it and we will remake your bag (same style, same image) at no additional cost. For a return approval number, please send an email to sales@bagsbychilli.com.

What is your refund policy?

Due to the personalized nature of these products we do not issue refunds, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Can I submit my order by mail?

BBC only accepts orders in our online store.

Can you guarantee delivery on exact dates?

No. Due to the many details that go into producing your handbag, we cannot guarantee an exact date for delivery.

How much does it cost to design my own handbag?

Handbags range from $75 - $365 depending on your designing options. Click here to see the products price list and measurements.

Can you update me on the status of my order?

You will automatically receive an email when your order is confirmed and an email when the bag has been shipped. You can also log into your customer account to see the other status updates throughout the manufacturing process. If you have further questions you can email sales@bagsbychilli.com.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, contact us at sales@bagsbychilli.com for an estimate. Include the item you would like and your mailing address. Please understand that all GST, CUSTOM or other related expenses are to be incurred by you.

How does my Bags By Chilli bag get delivered?

All domestic orders are sent to the address you specify via UPS Ground except for PO Box addresses.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Your customized Bags By Chilli bag will take approximately 6 to 8 weeks to be completed and shipped. Orders cannot be processed until all information is received with the photograph/digital image. There are a few specialty items that can take 8 to 12 weeks. *Rushed orders are accelerated through the production process and are completed in four weeks. This rush service is not available for all products. Please see the individual product details for an estimated manufacturing time and rush service availability.

If I pay for the Rush Fee, do I still need to pay for shipping?

Yes. The Rush Fee basically puts your order in the front of the line for production allowing you to receive your handbag by the 4th week.

What are the shipping and delivery options?

We offer shipping via UPS Ground.

What carriers are available to ship my order?

Can a finished Bags By Chilli handbag be delivered to someone else?

Yes. We ask you for both the shipping and billing address for this reason. We will not contact the recipient in any way.  We'll keep the gift under wraps!

How will I know when my order ships?

We will email you a shipping confirmation when your order ships. We include the Tracking number in your Shipping Confirmation email.

Can I put a different image of each side of the bag?

Yes. Almost all Bags By Chilli products have this option. The bags that take images on both sides can display the same photo on both sides or two different images on the front and back. You choose! ($50 fee applies for different image)

Can I submit any image?

You may submit any image as long as it is your own personal property or you have obtained the right or permission to reproduce it and it does not contain objectionable material. By ordering from Bags By Chilli you confirm that you own the rights to the image(s) or have obtained relevant permission(s) to use the image(s) prior to submitting an order. Bags By Chilli will not be held responsible for any discrepancies involving the owner of the reproduction rights or license holders and the customer who submits the photograph.

Can my image be changed from Color to Sepia or Black and White?

Yes. You can make these changes using the customer design tool when you design your handbag.

Can you eliminate the red eye effect on my images?

You can use the customer design tool to reduce or eliminate the red eye effect.

Can Bags By Chilli enhance the image that I provide?

Some simple problems with images such as red eye can be addressed with the customer design tool. Major retouching is done by BBC on an as requested basis for an additional design fee. If you would like us to make changes to your image, simply include your request or instructions in the comments box and you will be contacted by a Bags By Chilli employee. Orders that do not include specific requests will not be enhanced.

Can you do special cropping with the photograph?

If you choose not to use the customer design tool, Bags By Chilli designers will size your images to fit the construction of the bag free of charge with every bag. If you would like to use only a portion of your photograph for your bag the image will need to be cropped. You may submit special cropping requests in the comments section of your order. Please note, cropping ability is limited as images must be rendered to fit the measurements required for your chosen bag style.

What is Sepia Tone?

Sepia Tone is an effect that causes your photograph to have a vintage look. The designers turn your photo to black and white and then give it a brass antique look. Some people say it's turning your photo into an 'old fashion' photograph.

Can I use two different photos, one for each side of my handbag?

Yes! It is an additional $50 fee to your order to design your handbag with two different photos. This is purely for set-up reasons.

What is Glam Glass?

Glam Glass is a handbag design feature where we sew a thick plastic layer over the printed fabric. This creates a small air pocket between the plastic and the fabric.

Are there any photograph requirements?

Please submit photos no larger than a regular 8"x10" photo and no smaller than a 4" x 6" photo. Please make sure your main subject in the photograph is at least the size of a coin (US$.25 -Quarter).

Photo Selection Tips

****Please be aware that Bags By Chilli reserves the right not to fulfill any orders using photographs that, in the sole discretion of BBC, are deemed as displaying objectionable content or pose potential copyright violations.  In the event that your photograph is not accepted, you will be contacted by a BBC rep for a replacement picture. ****

What type of image file do I need to send?

All images should be at least 4" x 6" in size. If you have a digital image, please upload the photo as a .jpg file. Make sure the image is saved at a minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels or more. The file size should be a minimum of 200KB and a maximum of 2MB. A minimum 2 Megapixel digital camera is required.

What is a digital image?

Digital Images are computer files which, when opened with the right program, display a picture on your computer screen. When a computer displays a digital image, what it does is take the data in the file, and displays thousands of tiny dots on your screen. Each of these dots is called a "pixel". The more pixels an image has, the more detailed the picture can be. Image quality is measured by pixels per inch, also called dots per inch, or "dpi".

What are the minimum requirements for my digital image?

We strongly recommend that your digital pictures be at least 1024 pixels wide and at least 768 pixels tall and at least 200dpi.

How can I make sure I have a digital image that is at least your recommended size?

If you already have an image:

1. Open My Computer.
2. Find the image you want to use.
3. Set your mouse pointer on the image, click the RIGHT mouse button once, and release. A small menu will appear.
4. Set your mouse pointer at the bottom of the menu on "Properties" (It will highlight), click the LEFT mouse button once, and release. A new screen will pop up.
5. You should see several tabs across the top of the page. One of them will say "Summary." Select that tab.
6. You should see a list of image properties. "Width" is the image width in pixels, and "Height" is the image height in pixels.

If you are planning to take a picture with a digital camera:

1. Make sure you have a camera that takes 2 megapixel images or larger.
2. Make sure your camera is set to the highest setting before taking a picture.
3. Save Images in a JPG format.
4. Refer to your camera's manual for more details.

If you are scanning a 4x6 (regular photo size) image*:

1. Set the scanner resolution to 200 dpi or higher and save the image in a JPG format.
2. If your scanner does not have a specific dpi setting, use the highest available setting.
3. (Refer to your scanner's manual for more details.)

 *Only scans from traditional photo paper are acceptable. Do not send scans reproduced from laser, inkjet or bubble jet printer/copiers.

What do I do if I am having technical difficulty downloading images?

If you have had a problem downloading your images during your order process, simply email them to sales@bagsbychilli.com with your order number in the subject line. BBC will contact you to complete the process.

What do I do if nothing shows up in my shopping cart?
